Suspension wishbone arms, also known as control arms, will rarely ever fail as a complete unit. Suspension arms are solid metal arms, with ball joints and/or bushes at either end to secure to your Land Rover's body or axle. A bent or damaged wishbone is rare, but it is common for wishbone arm bushes or ball joints to wear and fail. While buying only the bushes or ball joints can be less expensive, often due to the extra labour required in removing and installing the new parts, it can be more economical to buy a new wishbone arm. It is recommended to replace any suspension parts in pairs on both sides of your Land Rover, not just one side. To make fitting easier, these suspension arms come with a new set of bolts as often the old ones need to be cut to remove the old ones.
