An easy way to remove the EGR valve and blank it off with this heavy duty, 4mm laser cut steel blanking plate, gasket, 2 new stainless steel bolts and vacuum blanking plug.
This is a heavy duty kit consisting of 4mm stainless steel blanking plate, new gasket and 2 new stainless steel bolts, don't confuse this with the cheaper mild steel thin blanking plate items, this is a heavy duty kit made from 4mm stainless steel and will not warp with the heat from the exhaust manifold.
Removing the EGR valve helps to prevent the inlet manifold from getting 'gunked' up with carbon and oil. Removing the EGR valve may also increase performance and improve low speed torque and power.

From May 2018 the MOT rules in the UK are changing! Amongst the stricter rules are new legislation regarding emissions including DPF's and EGR systems. Any modifications/removal to emissions related devices, this includes DPF’S and EGR’s is now a major fail.

During an MOT test, the tester can only do a visual check of the emissions systems, the MOT tester is not permitted to remove covers or guards to make an inspection.

You need to be aware of this before removing or modifying any emissions related devices on your car.
